Manatee County Waste Disposal & Watering Restrictions
Holiday Trash/Recycling Collections – Tuesday and Friday are trash collection days for Whisper Bend. Recycling is also on Tuesday, yard waste pickup on Wednesday. When a holiday falls on a scheduled pickup day, trash will be collected one day later than your scheduled pickup day for the rest of that week. Regular collection days resume the following Monday. These are the observed holidays:

- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

You can take your own waste to the Lena Road Landfill, Monday thru Friday 8am – 5pm and every third Saturday of each month 9am – 3pm.

Current Lawn Watering Restrictions – During declared water shortages, irrigation of existing lawns and landscaping is limited to once a day two times a week, before 10 am or after 4 pm on approved days. Watering days are based on your house number. If your house number ends in an even number, you a water Thursday and/or Sunday. If the number is odd you can water on Tuesday and/or Friday. The latest water shortage restrictions are in effect until September 1, 2024 and includes Manatee County. This section will be updated with any future changes.

If you suspect a gas leak (rotten egg smell), call 911 first and then TECO.
